Grand-Gaube is a quiet little fishing village where traditional pirogue making practices are still alive, an interesting activity to discover during a walk through its streets lined with coconut trees and multipliants. The view of the northern islands, Coin de Mire, Ile Plate, Ile Ronde and Ile Serpent, as well as the ocean surrounding them, is breathtaking. Closer by and easily reached by boat, Bernache and Gabriel islands offer an enchanting interlude with wild coves and sandy beaches for a Robinson experience.
